Presentation

Training and Education is a key factor in establishing effective national radiation protection programmes. One of the goals of IRPA is to promote and facilitate the establishment of sound radiation protection programmes by providing assistance to its Associate Societies and key international organizations. Two specific activities that have been identified for continuing emphasis are:

    1. Fostering, sponsoring and organising training and refresher courses at IRPA Regional and International Congresses, and

    2. Working through the Associate Societies to make a pool of experts available to support the education and training courses organized by the IAEA.

IRPA will also work actively to make training resources available through the Web Site, beginning with training material from the IRPA10 refresher courses. In the future, this will be expanded, either directly or through links, to other training materials that have been developed by IRPA or the Associate Societies.
